Brenda Chan is a seasoned HR practitioner with over 20 years’ regional and corporate experience in HK, China, and Macau. Her industry expertise includes hospitality, financial service and professional recruitment service. In addition to possessing proven success in change management, HR transformation, staffing strategies and workforce excellence, Brenda is sound in championing startup projects for full spectrum of human resources functions encompassing market and compliance research, budgeting, operation setup, talent resourcing, onboarding and HRIS. Her other areas of expertise include cultural diversity management, talent engagement strategy, performance management, HR risk management, and employee wellness.
For the recent 10 years, Brenda engaged broadly in special projects i.e. management changeover, business closure, and organization transformation in China, HK, Malaysia, and Singapore with SOEs, POEs and NGOs. Throughout her tenure, she served management and senior management roles with international brands i.e. Banyan Tree Hotels and Resorts, Lanson Place Hospitality Management Ltd, Marriott Hotels International, ING Group，HSBC and Natwest Securities Limited. She was also co-chairperson of learning and development sub-committee of the Hong Kong Hotels Association and an invited speaker at institutions in HK and China i.e. Hong Kong Polytechnic Institute, Les Roches Jiinjiang International Hotel Management College, and Shunde Polytechnic promoting talent development and human resources management.
Brenda holds a bachelor degree in travel industry management from University of Hawaii, USA. She speaks fluent English, Chinese, and Putonghua. Apart from career, she is a wellness advocate and a certified essential oil specialist.
