Founder & Chairman
Polly founded Master Ascent in 2018 to provide HR research and advisory services focused on corporate HR Strategy, leadership coaching, talent acquisition, talent management and development, and organization restructuring solution to the UCF Group (a Chinese conglomerate). She has been a frequent speaker at industry and university events, and has been quoted on talent acquisition, talent management and employee engagement topics in key media -The Wall Street Journal, SCMP, Careertimes, Linkedin and Shanghai TV. She is also a leader to lead topics on resourcing, engagement, career development and performance discussion at career centres in the Greater China region.
Polly previously served as head of HR role and was a key member of HR management committee at HSBC, SCB, KPMG and UCF to lead organizational continuous improvement initiatives, championed the inclusion and diversity agenda, and managed the built-out of several Global special projects covering resourcing, migration, internal transformation, compliance and communication projects. Earlier in her career, she held various consulting positions at Deloitte and KPMG as well as several operational and strategic planning roles.
Apart from work, Polly initiated and developed the Employee programme – cancer support group within HSBC to support those in need, and received The Best of the Best Diversity & Inclusion Ambassador Award ASP from the Group Chairman.
Polly holds a master's degree from the University of Essex and a bachelor's degree from the University of Birmingham. She is also a Professional Member of IHRM and was the Chairlady for Insurance HR Club.
