Serene Yee graduated from the National University of Singapore with over 20 years of HR experiences, with well demonstrated history of working in the fintech, financial services and hospitality industries.

 

Serene is a seasoned HR business Leader at the different fields of human resource management, including Talent Acquisition, HR Advisory, Operational Development, Staff Engagement, Performance and Reward Management, Succession and Career planning.

 

Prior to helping Higgs Block Technology to set up its Fintech business in Singapore in 2018, Serene served as a Senior Consultant with an established executive search firm since 2011. She was responsible for the full spectrum of the HR advisory projects of all clients across Asia Pacific, appointed as the Key Account Manager of its life insurance sector, and managed several regional retainer assignments.

 

Her last corporate appointment as Senior Vice President - Head of Human Resources was with HSBC Insurance Group (Singapore) from 2007 to 2011. She was headhunted to be the HR Advisor for the merger of HSBC Insurance and Keppel Insurance entities, with matric reporting to Country CEO of HSBC Insurance Singapore; Country Head of HR of HSBC Bank Singapore; and Regional Head of HR of HSBC Insurance Hong Kong. She was committed to strengthening HSBC Insurance's HR brand position in Singapore, and managed to transform the employee engagement score from the lowest to the highest within the region within one year, with drastic reduction in employee attrition rate from above 30% to below 20%.

 

Serene has also held senior positions in Personnel Management in various institutions in Singapore such as John Hancock Assurance, Lion Global Investors, Raffles Hotel, Ritz-Carlton Millenia Singapore and government institutions.
